My name is Gerard Knorr, and I am an independent consultant and integrator located in Macomb County. I have several years of experience and many industry certifications, including Cisco and Microsoft.

My experience encompasses everything from the physical network infrastructure (including routing, switching, Internet connectivity, and connectivity of multiple offices to the same network) to farms of NT-based servers supplying access to many applications. I also support email services for internal and external customers. Working for previous employers, I integrated a wide variety of equipment into diverse customer networks.

It can be extremely difficult for a small to medium-sized business to find capable, responsible and accountable consultants.  Most larger consulting/integration companies have a dedicated sales staff that is specifically motivated to find larger customers. Smaller companies find themselves either ignored completely, or treated as second-class customers. For the smaller business, dealing with an individual who has a personal stake in your satisfaction, and who takes your business needs seriously, is a necessity.

With an independent consultant such as myself, the person making commitments to you is the same person who will implement and maintain them. What you will not get is a salesperson who will tell you most anything to get you to commit, then throw the agreement in the lap of a technician who may or may be capable of implementing it- providing that the proposal ever made technical sense in the first place!
