Firewalls perform two main functions for your network-security and address translation. If you are already permanently connected to the Internet, you likely have a firewall -- but have you considered a firewall separating sensitive departments from other departments?

If there is no valid reason someone from Engineering should be accessing computers in Payroll, it's a good idea to take steps to ensure that doesn't happen.
